This site is designed as an information source.  Most likely you have been directed here by word of mouth or just happened upon this and wonder what "this" is.  We hope you get your questions answered, but more importantly, we hope to build new relationships with people who have artistic talent in music, as a musician. band or singer, and desire to further their career in music. 

  You can check out who is behind this, by checking out  Al Phillips' resume, spanning over 25 years as a recording engineer, working with many well known artists (in resume').  Al has been involved with music since he was young; playing in various bands from Rock/R&B/Modern Jazz as a bass player, and understands various styles of music with real experience as a musician and recording engineer. Al plays Electric Bass/Acoustic and Electric Guitar/Keyboard, and various hand percussion. He has engineered and/or produced many projects in Los Angeles, California at Hollywood Sound Recorders and his own company; Catalyst Music Inc. in Camdenton, Missouri. He would would love to mix your recording to create a viable master of your original music. You can check out the studio prices and possibly contact us for more information.  Catalyst Music Inc. is now located in Vacaville, CA at "The Mission" Church. The control room is located near the Sanctuary in its own space, near the Worship Room, with audio ties from the main stage and special "Worship Room" (just built); with the ability to record from these spaces. See the pictures of the Control Room. Limited recording can be done in the control room as well.

Al can also do "Real Time Analyzing" of the sound system at your church or club for a reasonable fee. I can "tweak" on your EQ to get the best sound you can for your system, as well as give you ideas on fixing your room, to provide the best "flat" coverage of sound.

Worship Leaders: We are beginning to look at new ways to worship God by doing live "Selah" (Pick a key and play "by the Spirit") style worship, which would include having worship leaders and musicians asking God for musical ideas and play whatever He brings, prophetically. The musicians can start together in a specific key, grab a common rhythm and then be free to play what the God has brought for that evening, through the talents of His "listening" worship leaders & musicians. This is a new way to stretch your talents and rely on God more for musical ideas. Al has previously led worship in his church for many years.
